The NDB have further extended their partnership with the JDC to include an academy package for the dutch juniors.
In a partnership that has grown over the last few years resulting in events for the JDC in the Netherlandsand the NDB’s continued support to the Junior World Championship each year, will now extend the relationship to a bespoke NDB academy system in the Netherlands.
Currently, the JDC and NDB have been working together behind the scenes to prepare clubs and volunteers to begin the journey of academy life this Autumn. However, there are academies that are likely to up and running as soon as June.
Patrick Stolk, Coordinator at the NDB said,
“This is an exciting time to be a young player in the sport of darts and we really want to capture the imagination and the interest in our sport with the youngsters here in the Netherlands. We have had a great relationship with the JDC so far, and it’s great to see they are of the same feeling as us that we must work in the local communities to offer opportunities for kids to play. I am excited about this project and once established in the Netherlands, we will look to further the academy system in Belgium and Luxemburg too”.
Darren Barson, Chief Executive of the JDC said,
“Delighted that we will see a new branch of academies across the Netherlands. Adding the NDB’s academies to our system will further the opportunities for the Dutch children. I know the Dutch Darts Association have some great ideas for the future which will benefit children around Europe and in the UK. Let’s see if there is another MVG out there, you never know”.
