The Junior Darts Corporation has received notice from Her Majesties Government of Gibraltar that it has made the decision that no future international sports events will take place in Gibraltar during 2020. The information from the Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority, the ( GSLA ) was taken on the advice of the public health department that international events be moved to 2021.
In light of the current situation the JDC will not be able to hold its premium events planned for November 2020 and will now be cancelled. The JDC has made the decision based on the news from Gibraltar and the continued uncertainty around the world to re stage the events.
Events cancelled are,
The Junior World Darts Championship 2020
The Junior World Cup Team Event 2020
The Junior World Soft Tip Championship 2020
The MVG Masters 2020
All current qualifying order of merits and tables towards these events will also be cancelled.
Qualifying for the 2021 JDC World Darts Championship will commence next year when possible for the finals in November 2021.

JDC Virtual Amateur World Darts Championship ( Junior & Adults events ) planned for November will now be moved (not cancelled) to April 2021. The qualifying period for this event on JDC Virtual will now be extended until December 2020.
Players who have successfully gained 6 passports will also be able to enter the soft tip tournament in April by virtue of obtaining their 6 passports.

As the Junior Darts Corporation has a long term partnership with the Government of Gibraltar the JDC has been able to secure advanced dates for 2021 to play out all its premium events under the JDC and JDC Virtual banners.

7TH APRIL - 13TH APRIL
These dates will incorporate 5 days of competition for players with 6 virtual passports ( singles ) and 3 team visas for the new World cup event.

10TH APRIL - JDC Virtual WORLD CUP TEAM EVENT ( ADULT EVENT)
11TH APRIL - JDC INTERNATIONAL SOFT TIP CHAMPIONSHIP ( ADULT EVENT)
12TH APRIL - JDC Virtual WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ( ADULT EVENT MOVED FROM NOV 2020 )
