JDC announce Foundation Tour Phase 2

Due to phenomenal demand, the JDC is delighted to announce a second season of the Foundation Tour will run later this year – with dates and booking information to be confirmed soon.

There will be 16 events played over four weekends, starting from the summer, with the same prize fund per event as ‘Season One’ of the Foundation Tour.

As with season one, there will also be four places on next year’s Advanced Tour and eight spots at the World Championship in Gibraltar up for grabs.

Season One of the Foundation Tour, which has been capped at 196 entries per weekend for logistical reasons, has now completely sold out following a successful opening weekend.

JDC chairman Steve Brown said: “Demand for the Foundation Tour is through the roof. After cancelling the planned Impact Tour to focus instead on the players aged under 18, there was an opportunity to run a second season of the Foundation Tour later this year – and we expect it to be very popular again.

“We saw at the weekend just how competitive this tour is, with four different players winning events, and that gives so many players a genuine belief that they can come to these tournaments and experience victory.”

Any players who qualify for the Advanced Tour and World Championship via Season One will be unable to compete in Season Two. In that event, they will receive a full refund for any Season Two events they sign up for and their place will be freed up for another player to enter.

All four weekends will be played in Coventry at the JDC’s Centre of Excellence.
