The climax to the Junior Darts Corporation's 2017 calendar ended in Bristol last weekend with 2 days of incredible darts. The weekend started with the European Open in search of the 2017 champion. 57 players from 8 different countries battled it out on Saturday in a best of 11 legs competition. JDC tour regulars mixed with some new faces from around Europe began in ernest to make the latter stages. The quarter final line up had no surprises as JDC tour regulars and stars of the future Jarred cole, Bradley Brooks, Alfie Jacques and Rusty Jake Rodriquez turned up the heat to move into the last 4. Herfordhire's Jarred Cole who at this point had only lost 3 legs in the tournament beat Rusty Jake 6-3 to book his place in the evenings final. Joining him to play on stage in front of over a thousand people in Bristol was blackburn's Bradley Brooks beating Alfie Jacques 6-4. The final was epic.. with just under 90 averages both players delivered some exceptional darts. In the end going with throw Brooks edged out Cole in the deciding leg 6-5 to become the JDC'S Junior European Champion for 2017. Sunday's standard was no different, with 9 countries represented for the World Finals. Players came as far as Canada to compete for a huge prize pot, and the chance to become Junior World Champion on the world stage at Alexandra palace London during the William Hill World Darts Championship. After the initial 8 groups of action had been completed the last 16 did not disappoint. Best of 9 leg matches in the quarter finals produced a great semi final line up which were to be the last matches of the day with the final in 2 weeks in London. The first was between European Semi Finalist Rusty Jake Rodriquez and European Runner up Jarred Cole which ended with a 5-2 win for RJR. The second semi final had the crowed gripped as fellow dutch stars Daan Bastiaansen and Owen Roelofs battled out an amazing match. Going to a decider, Roelofs nicked it 5-4. Chairman of the JDC Steve Brown commented " just an unbelievable weekend so much talent, professionalism and ability these youngsters have and it is truly amazing. No fear these days and they see what is on offer and they are hungry for it. I am so glad the JDC can facilitate that journey. Looking forward to crowning a World Champion and doing it all over again in 2018" To get involved or play in the JDC'S 2018 Calendar visit [www.juniordarts.com](http://www.juniordarts.com) Keep up to date with news via twitter @JDCdarts Last 16 European Event: Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS 6-0 Erik Meyers BEL William Byrne IRE 2-6 Wessel Nijman NED Jack Seymour ENG 1-6 Jarred Cole ENG Jakob Kelly ENG 6-4 Owen Roelofs NED Levy Frauenfelder NED 2-6 Keelan Kay ENG Paul Gray IRE 2-6 Alfie Jacques ENG James Beeton 4-6 Bradley Brooks ENG Jake Neale ENG 6-3 Henry Coates ENG Last 8: Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS 6-3 Wessel Nijman NED Jarred Cole ENG 6-1 Jakob Kelly ENG Keelan Kay ENG 3-6 Alfie Jacques ENG Bradley Brooks ENG 6-0 Jake Neale ENG Semi Finals: Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS 3-6 Jarred Cole ENG Alfie Jacques 4-6 Bradley Brooks ENG Final: Bradley Brooks ENG 6-5 Jarred Cole ENG WINNER - BRADLEY BROOKS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last 16 WDS Junior World Darts Championship Nico Langer AUS 2-5 Jakob Kelly ENG Jarred Cole ENG 5-2 William Byrne IRE Roy Rietberger NED 1-5 Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS Ross Gilder ENG 4-5 Luke Durham ENG Jack Vincent ENG 0-5 Keelan Kay ENG Owen Roelofs NED 5-3 Stephen Sheerin ENG Daan Bastiaansen NED 5-2 James Beeton ENG Alfie Jacques ENG 5-1 Levi Matthews WAL Last 8: Jakob Kelly ENG 1-5 Jarred Cole ENG Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS 5-0 Luke Durham ENG Owen Roelofs NED 5-2 Keelan Kay ENG Daan Bastiaansen 5-4 Alfie Jacques ENG Semi Finals: Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS 5-2 Jarred Cole ENG Owen Roelofs NED 5-4 Daan Bastiaansen NED Final Alexandra Palace December 16TH 2017 Rusty Jake Rodriquez AUS v NED Owen Roelofs
