We had three more winners on the JDC Super 16 tour as the field was set for finals day in a month’s time. Jack Nankervis, Jenson Walker and Thomas Banks were all back in the winner's circle as the round a qualification events concluded for the season.

It was Banks who was first up in event five of the series, defeating the impressive Jack Nankervis and then Cayden Smith to set up a final meeting with Paige Pauling. In a final that see-sawed backwards and forwards, Banks would take the win a deciding leg in what proved to be a highlight of the weekend.

There would be further deep runs from Pauling and Smith on the second event on Saturday afternoon, as Jenson Walker took the title. He would see off fellow champion, Banks, in the quarter-finals before defeating Pauling 4-1 in the semis with a 93 average. It would be another tightly contested final, but Walker emerging victorious in another decider.

His tally would be doubles the following morning as he dropped just two legs en route to his second title of the weekend. After breezing through the opening three rounds, Shoey Ayers would be the first to test Walker, snatching a single leg. Scotland’s Lawrie Mitchell would contest the final, but couldn’t topple the brilliant Walker, who ends the season third in the order of merit.

Jack Nankervis would capitalize on his excellent form, winning his first Super16 title on Sunday afternoon. The Devon thrower had earlier landed a nine-dart finish in practice and was almost perfect as he took the win in Coventry. A statement victory over Walker in round one, was followed by several comprehensive performances before adding the exclamation mark with a 5-0 win over Smith in the final.

Thomas Banks finishes the season top of the order of merit and will be in high spirits going into finals day. He will be joined by the likes of Luke Littler, Paige Pauling and all the other winners from the weekend, as well as those inside the top 32.
