Due to the outstanding success of the current Junior World Darts Champion Luke Littler, the JDC have been inundated with academy interest.
The JDC offers opportunities for Clubs, Academies, Children and Volunteers to become part of the JDC's world wide academy system. The JDC's Academy Accredition Day is the gateway into the junior game at grassroots level in local communities.
Every academy/club that is affiliated to the JDC must be accreditated and the lead coach or mentor must be certificated by the JDC.
This involves a day with the JDC team and allows the coaches to understand all that the JDC offer, provide them with hints and tips, equipment from leading manufacturer Winmau and the software from godartspro.com to seamlessly deliver academy sessions.
JDC CEO Darren Barson said,
" its been an amazing few weeks for darts in general but the recognition of the junior game, the talented young players in our sport and for the academy system has been unprecedented. We have seen academy participation up by 30% in the last month and interest in affiliating a club or interest in starting an academy up by 50% on last year. All of the existing academies around the world have seen new children flocking to the clubs to get involved in darts. We have had to act on this and this is why we are doubling our efforts to assist people in setting up academies all over the UK. We will be delivering additional accreditation days up to April this year in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. With the addition to the team of Sean Casey-Poole we can stretch further and faster with the delivery of these sessions".
Further details and how to book on a course are available via the link below. The JDC will be kicking off in Warrington the home town of Luke Littler and moving to Wales, Ireland and Scotland in the coming weeks.
