Australia will be represented at the WDS Junior World Darts Championship in Bristol on December 16th.
Colby Dodge and Emmanuel Kato will be representing themselves and the nation of Australia at the JDC's World Darts Championship in just over 2 weeks time. Through an immense amount of organising and passion by JDC AUS/NZ and the DPA to get the boys over to the UK, the JDC are delighted to have the Australian youngsters playing in its premium event.
The players come with a huge amount of talent and acheivements to be proud of. Colby has been an Australian Junior Champion, Youth Pacific Masters Champion 2018 and bronze medalist in Japan in 2017. Nicknamed "Dodgy" Colby is looking to make a name for himself here in the UK at this event. Emmanuel nicknamed " Manakins" is also a junior national champion and has an ambition to make the world stage in December. The final of the JDC World Darts Championship is held at the Alexandra Palace London so Emmanuel's ambition maybe accomplished.
JDC Chairman Steve Brown Commented:
" We are absolutely over the moon that we are going to see young players from Australia attending our event this year. This is just evidence of the passion, desire and talent of all the people concerned to get them here. The players, JDC AUS/NZ, the DPA and i'm sure many more. We have 2 JDC Australian Ambassadors in Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson who I know are delighted with this news. Huge thanks to Rob Denny CEO of the DPA who has been instrumental in the birth of JDC AUS/NZ and the forcoming Academy set up in 2019 downunder. I look forward to meeting the boys in a couple of weeks".
The Tournament will be played out on December 16th in Bristol and will be available via Dartconnect to keep up on all the matches. For further information over that weekend please follow the JDC on twitter and facebook.
