With just seven days until the first event in the JDC's World Championships 2019, all the focus now turns to Gibraltar.
The excitement is now starting to build ahead of the first event of three JDC majors with The PDPA Junior World Cup team event. The young players and coaches from as far as New Zealand, China, India, Australia, USA and Canada will start their journeys to Gibraltar in ernest ahead of their European counterparts. Players and coaches as well as the parents from all nations will be sharing their excitement and experiences of getting to the event on social media with the hashtag #roadtotherock .
The JDC team and officials making their way out this weekend will also be part of the fun.
JDC Chairman Steve Brown said " I can't wait for the event to start and hopefully if all the nations share their travel experiences it will create a great buzz for the kids and adults as they make their way to Gibraltar. Its been a lot of hard work in the past few months from all concerned and I really want everyone to enjoy every moment. We have three fantastic competitions backed by three great sponsors with a total prize fund of just under £10,000. The PDPA, DartConnect and Scott Farms International have helped us create a truly fitting event for our first overseas finals".
