The JDC announces how it will be dealing with the outbreak of Corona Virus.
After yesterdays press release by the UK Government and the advice given by the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty the JDC have decided upon the following.
Tour events 5&6 will go ahead as planned in Wolverhampton. The JDC will be taking extra precautions and working with the venue to minimise contact with each other. The JDC will be implementing its "THUMBS UP" approach to its event to reduce the risk of hand shaking between competitors and officials. The JDC will also deliver its accreditation day in England next week as planned.
Importantly the JDC will be postponing all future planned events until further notice. The JDC will be looking to reschedule its calendar of events in the coming weeks.
Also as from Monday 16th of March the JDC will be halting all academy activity until further notice. During this time the JDC will be planning sensible solutions to the hinderence of the Corona Virus Outbreak, trying to minimise the impact on its affiliated academies around the world. The JDC operates in 7 different nations and will use the postponement of activity to discuss solutions with its partners and directors.
Further statements and updates will be communicated to all academies and people involved with the JDC in due course. In the meantime the JDC will take constant advice and updates from the UK Government and the World Health Organisation.
